Garth Brooks’ new honky-tonk bar called “Friends in Low Places” opens on Friday, November 24 in Nashville.<\/p>\n
It was in the news this summer when he announced they would be serving Bud Light.<\/p>\n
He did a big interview with Jane Pauley on CBS recently and talked about why making the place inclusive is important to him.<\/p>\n
She asked what he’d say to people who wonder, “Is he with us, or with them?” His response…<\/p>\n
“I’m with love. You [can] come on this ship or not, but love is big enough for all of us.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He added that people think the hardest question in life is, “Why are we down here?” But he thinks it’s a pretty easy one.<\/p>\n
“We’re down here for each other. That’s why there’s more than just one of us.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
She also had him explain the difference between a regular bar and a “honky-tonk.” He said a honky-tonk is bigger and a little more like a dance hall.<\/p>\n
