{"id":29704,"date":"2024-09-29T07:00:02","date_gmt":"2024-09-29T11:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/chokfm\/?p=29704"},"modified":"2024-09-26T10:14:18","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T14:14:18","slug":"dolly-parton-talks-cooking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/chokfm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2024\/09\/dolly-parton-talks-cooking\/","title":{"rendered":"Dolly Parton Talks Cooking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/dolly-parton-learned-to-cook-out-of-necessity-at-home-with-11-siblings-exclusive-8712868\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">In an interview with People to promote their new cookbook<\/a>, Dolly Parton and her sister Rachel Parton George reminisced about what things were like in the kitchen when they were growing up.<\/p>\n<p>The Parton sisters\u2019 new cookbook is called, Good Lookin&#8217; Cookin&#8217;: A Year of Meals, and is set for publication on September 17.<\/p>\n<p>Dolly said the cookbook is filled with both recipes as well as memories of their meals shared together and what it was like to cook and eat together as a family.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe were really helping out when Mama was not well, or in bed with a kid or having a new baby or whatever. So my first [lesson] came out of just really being a necessity of us helping mom as the older girls.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With 12 kids in the house and 14 mouths to feed, Rachel said mealtime was important in the Parton household.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEverybody knew to be there at the right time.
