During a recent interview Tucker Wetmore discussed how a football injury he experienced eventually led him to pursue a career in country music.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was in Montana, I played a year of football there, but it just didn\u2019t feel right for a couple months towards the end.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He came home from practice one day and had an emotional breakdown.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was just like, I need a sign. The next day, I went to practice and snap my leg in three places.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
While recovering from the injury, Wetmore\u2019s mother suggested he return to the piano, which brought him comfort when he was younger.<\/p>\n
He would go on to write his very first song that night, and eventually move to Nashville to pursue his dream.<\/p>\n
“Five months later, I was like, \u2018Mom, I want to do this, I believe I can do this.’ And then she was like, ‘I never doubted you for a second, go do it.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
