Luke Bryan turns 49 later this year, and has some regrets as he looks back on his career.<\/p>\n
In a recent interview, Luke revealed that he passed on “Sand in My Boots” a few years back because he felt like he’d done too many songs about trucks.<\/p>\n
Hardy co-wrote it, and Morgan Wallen made it a hit in 2021.<\/p>\n
He said he passed because it had the word “Chevrolet” in it. The actual lyric is “dodging potholes in my sunburnt SILVERADO.”<\/p>\n
Luke had done a string of songs about trucks and tailgates, and people were calling him a “one-trick pony” So he wanted to branch out.s<\/p>\n
He doesn’t regret all the songs about trucks and beer though, because it keyed people in to who he is. He said fans “generally think [his] personality is ‘let’s have some fun.'” And he’s cool with being known for that.<\/p>\n
