There&#8217;s the Space Station. To the right is Ontario and<br \/>\nthe Great Lakes, cast in a parabolic shadow of night&#8230; that&#8217;s you.<br \/>\nYou set the tablet down, and point at the Northwest sky, about 1\/3 of the way up from<br \/>\nthe treeline. You know the exact minute and where to look.<br \/>\n&#8220;Watch&#8230; here it comes&#8230;.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And there it is, a bright moving star, a blip of light.<br \/>\nThe source of that spectacular view, and the home of a handful of astronauts<br \/>\nfrom many nations working together &#8211; at this very moment. There&#8217;s the space<br \/>\nstation. It&#8217;s real. It&#8217;s there. From this height,<br \/>\nhere are no visible borders, no signs of hatred or conflict and no context really,<br \/>\nof our daily struggles and problems. At this height, in the cold, airless void there<br \/>\nis only this beautiful blue oasis of life.
