So. Minimum.\u00a0 Anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Think about when you were working a minimum wage gig and your pay increases by 10 cents, or 20 cents, or dare we say 50 cents an hour.\u00a0 \u00a0Do you remember what you were making for your first minimum wage job?\u00a0 Mine was $5.50 an hour back in the mid-nineties, it&#8217;s now $16.55.<\/p>\n<p>We also want to say the tiniest of hellos to all the champion Weiner Dogs!\u00a0<strong>The Lakeshore Horse Racing Association<\/strong> hosted the seventh annual <em>Weiner Dog Races<\/em> at Leamington Raceway and it was two-year-old \u201cBella\u201d of Windsor took home the top prize.\u00a0 Congrats to Yvette and Tom Forsythe who entered their mini dachshund for the first time, but really&#8230; &#8230; everyone who participated is a weiner. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"695\" height=\"527\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-14880\" src=\"https:\/\/storage.briwebapp.net\/2023\/10\/weiner-1-695x527.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/storage.briwebapp.net\/2023\/10\/weiner-1-695x527.jpg 695w, https:\/\/storage.briwebapp.net\/2023\/10\/weiner-1.jpg 761w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 695px) 100vw, 695px\" \/><br \/>\n(photo from\u00a0https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/leamingtonraceway\/)<\/p>\n<p>I also had a run-in with some adorable animals.\u00a0 We took our kids out to <strong>Greenview Park &amp; Zoo<\/strong> and it was awesome!\u00a0 Lions, Tigers and be&#8230; actually, no bears.\u00a0 But definitely monkeys, kangaroos, and even a buffalo with a surprisingly long tongue.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have a great Monday, let&#8217;s do at least 8% more than the bare minimum today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"(pictured:\u00a0 Jay and his herd) Happy Monday, and an especially happy Monday to anyone who makes minimum wage!\u00a0 Not.
