Drake &#8211;\u00a0Hotline Bling (2016)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uxpDa-c-4Mc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the song that spawned 1000 memes.\u00a0 Plus, nobody in the universe had a better decade than Drake.\u00a0 My wife absolutely hates this choice, which makes it even better.\u00a0 .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0The Neighborhood Sweater Weather (2013)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GCdwKhTtNNw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This was close to taking number one, but it will have to settle for second best.\u00a0 An insanely well constructed song that gets better every time you listen.\u00a0 The Neighborhood take the second spot.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0Kendrick Lamar &#8211; Humble (2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tvTRZJ-4EyI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>To be honest, this probably should have been #1.\u00a0 Kendrick has won every award imaginable, including a 2018 Pulitzer in music!\u00a0 This is the best song from arguably his best album, and it comes in at #3 of the decade for me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.\u00a0Childish Gambino &#8211; Redbone (2016)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Kp7eSUU9oy8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I thought about including a song from his 2013 album &#8216;Because the Internet&#8217;, because I love it.\u00a0 But this song is what he&#8217;ll be known for in 20 years, along with the controversial and amazing &#8216;This is America&#8217; video.\u00a0 But <em>Redbone<\/em> wins the decade for Donald Glover.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Arctic Monkeys &#8230; R U Mine? (2012)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/VQH8ZTgna3Q?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>What makes this song even better is the fact that Mary was stumped on it during &#8216;Battle of the Sexes&#8217;.\u00a0 Other than that, the song is just awesome.\u00a0 Furious and fast and sad and loud and all the things that make Arctic Monkeys one of my favourite bands of the last 10 years.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n6.\u00a0Florence and the Machine &#8211; Shake It Out (2011)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WbN0nX61rIs?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This song came out a few years before Taylor Swift was shaking it &#8216;Off&#8217;.\u00a0 Florence and the Machine&#8217;s &#8220;Shake it Out&#8221; is a powerful, incredible, underrated song that should be higher on every decade-end list.\u00a0 Shout out to Jess for reminding me about this one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7.\u00a0\u00a0Spoon &#8211; Inside Out (2014)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IoBJ0CfdSZQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Another underrated track from an underrated band.\u00a0 Why do more people not know about Spoon?? They&#8217;re great and their album &#8220;They Want My Soul&#8221; is one of the best to come out this decade.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8.\u00a0Frank Ocean &#8211; Thinking About You (2012)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6JHu3b-pbh8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Nothing underrated about this guy, everybody knows Frank Ocean is incredible.\u00a0 My only struggle with this one was whether to include this track or &#8220;Pyramids&#8221;.\u00a0 (you know what&#8230; &#8230; listen to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dMV31MWIjLE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pyramids<\/a> too.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>9.\u00a0LCD Soundsystem &#8211; I Can Change (2010)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tW8FKkVnqng?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>LCD Soundsystem is one of those bands you&#8217;ll either love or hate.\u00a0 I chose LOVE.\u00a0 This song is the oldest entry of my list, coming to us way back in July of 2010.<\/p>\n<p><strong>10.\u00a0The Weeknd &#8211; Starboy (2016)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/34Na4j8AVgA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A Mix 96.7 favourite here!\u00a0 We&#8217;ve been playing it since the day it came out, and I can honestly say I turn it UP every time it comes up on our show.\u00a0 This song is just all kinds of awesome from one of the breakout stars of the 2010&#8217;s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11. Mitski &#8211; Your Best American Girl (2016)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u_hDHm9MD0I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This might be a new one for you if you&#8217;re not a big indie music fan.\u00a0 But seriously, give it a listen.\u00a0 Give it 10 listens.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a wonderful little song that always makes me feel good when I hear it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>12.\u00a0Khalid &#8211;\u00a0Talk (2019)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hE2Ira-Cwxo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is the NEWEST entry on my top 20 of the decade and the only song from the last year.\u00a0 You want a song you can dance to, work out to, and get a little busy to&#8230; &#8230; this is it.\u00a0 Khalid ruled 2019 with his Ed Sheeran collaboration, but I&#8217;ve got a soft spot for this one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>13. Hop Along &#8211; How Simple (2018)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QOZx5T1zDf0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Another <em>&#8216;but Jay&#8230; who the heck is this&#8217;<\/em> track.\u00a0 Trust me, this is great and should probably be higher.\u00a0 It&#8217;s the lead single and first track from their 2018 album &#8216;Bark Your Head Off, Dog&#8217;, and I love love love it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>14.\u00a0\u00a0Father John Misty &#8211; Please Don&#8217;t Die (2018)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SR1CSqQJi3E?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As I&#8217;m typing this and seeing the #14 beside it I can&#8217;t help but feel their must be some mistake.\u00a0 This is probably my favourite album of the last 10 years, &#8220;God&#8217;s Favorite Customer&#8221;, and this is the one of the saddest songs I&#8217;ve ever heard.\u00a0 I think about my wife and little girls when I hear it and it makes me cry internal happy tears.<\/p>\n<p><strong>15.\u00a0Absofacto &#8211; Dissolve (2015)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xe2FPP4lX14?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Jay, you&#8217;re killing me here.\u00a0 Who the **** are these people?&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0 I understand.\u00a0 Just listen.\u00a0 This song is too good to not listen to at least once.<\/p>\n<p><strong>16.\u00a0Bon Iver &#8211; Holocene (2011)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8T0cHQb39GY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Bon Iver had a heckuva decade.\u00a0 He went from an unknown to one of the most respected artists in the world, partly thanks to this track right here.<\/p>\n<p><strong>17.\u00a0Charlie Puth &#8211; Attention (2017)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nfs8NYg7yQM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Another Mix 96.7 favourite!\u00a0 Charlie Puth had roughly 92 amazing songs this decade but this one is the best.<\/p>\n<p><strong>18. Nico Yaryan &#8211; Just Tell Me\u00a0 (2016)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vcd-GD7sCYY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Jay.\u00a0 Stop it.\u00a0 Nobody cares about this guy.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0 That may be true, but you know what else is true?\u00a0 This song rules.<\/p>\n<p><strong>19. Kurt Vile &#8211; Pretty Pimpin&#8217; (2015)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/659pppwniXA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I saw Kurt Vile live in Detroit last year an he was amazing.\u00a0 Formerly with the band The War On Drugs (who also almost made my top 20 with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bsoqmFL1vlU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Red Eyes<\/em><\/a>), this song made me want to learn guitar just to play it. (Which I did, just enough to play this song very badly).\u00a0 Pretty Pimpin&#8217; is pretty sweet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>20.
