For the first time in a LONG time (well…since the Super Bowl) I stayed up late on a Sunday.<\/p>\n

I had to watch my favorite female comedy duo Tiny Fey <\/strong>& Amy Poehler<\/strong> host the 78th Golden Globes!\u00a0<\/strong>After being delayed multiple times, the time final came.<\/p>\n

Here are some of my favorite moments, PLUS a full list of winners:<\/p>\n

The Show Kicked Off Seamlessly…Until The First Award Was Given<\/h3>\n

Tina & Amy did what they’ve proven to do well and opened with a pretty funny monologue.<\/p>\n

They then welcomed Laura Dern<\/strong>, who presented the award for\u00a0Best Actor in a\u00a0Supporting\u00a0Role in Any Motion Picture.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This went to\u00a0Daniel Kaluuya<\/strong> for \u201cJudas and the Black Messiah\u201d.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Here comes the first technical difficulty & awkward moment:<\/p>\n

Schitt’s Creek Added To This Year’s Accolades<\/h3>\n

First, Catherine O’Hara<\/strong> was awarded the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Musical or Comedy Series, <\/strong>during\u00a0which her husband played the “wrap it up” music the entire time (…ouch).<\/p>\n

Dan Levy also won big, with the show winning Best Comedy or Musical TV Series.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

And look how happy and adorable he looked:<\/p>\n

Speaking of “Wrap It Up” Signals…<\/h3>\n

Jason Sudeikis<\/strong> had the most meme-worthy moment when he accepted the award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy TV<\/strong> series for his performance in “Ted Lasso.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Not only did he win the award, but he also made history as the first person to accept a Golden Globe sporting a tie-dye hoodie!<\/p>\n

His acceptance speech ran more than a little long…to the point where Don Cheadle gave him the “wrap it up” signal:<\/p>\n

Chadwick Boseman’s Wife Gave A Touching Speech<\/h3>\n

The late actor won his first Golden Globe. He was awarded Best Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama)<\/strong> for his role in\u00a0\u201cMa Rainey\u2019s Black Bottom\u201d<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

His wife accepted the award in his honor, and gave this tearful acceptance speech:<\/p>\n

MANY Stars Took The Opportunity To Call Out The Lack of Diversity in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association<\/h3>\n

As if it couldn’t get any more awkward than feeling like you’re dropping in on a celebrity Zoom meeting…<\/p>\n

MANY award winners and even the hosts commented on the lack of diversity, and for good reason, pointing out that ALL of the members of the HFPA are white.<\/p>\n

Dan Levy put it excellently during his post-win interview with Vogue, saying<\/p>\n

I would be doing the core values of Schitt\u2019s Creek a disservice by not adding my voice to the timely and necessary conversation calling for a more inclusive HFPA.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tina and Amy had a fun dig during the opening monologue, saying this:<\/p>\n
