We don’t know anything about casting yet, but we do know that Elizabeth Banks<\/strong> has signed on to direct.<\/p>\n As for the plot, it will be based on a real life story!<\/p>\n If you are familiar with the story of Andrew Thorton<\/strong>, you’re probably excited about this.<\/p>\n For those who don’t, it goes like this:<\/p>\n Back in 1985, a drug smuggler\u00a0dropped a duffel bag filled with 70 pounds of coke from his plane over Georgia, on the way back from a drug run to Colombia.<\/p>\n A 175-pound bear found the bag, ate the contents, and died.<\/p>\n It can be assumed that the bear is only a gateway to the rest of the story, since Thorton’s life is pretty wild in itself.<\/p>\n He was a former narcotics cop who went rogue and started smuggling drugs.<\/p>\n An incident took place on September 11th, 1985. in which he apparently dropped some of the coke out of a plane because it was too heavy.<\/p>\n Then, he tried to jump out of the plane, but\u00a0got caught in his parachute. He landed in a random driveway in Knoxville, Tennessee and died on impact.<\/p>\n When his body was discovered, Thornton was wearing a bulletproof vest and Gucci loafers (iconic). He also had night vision goggles, $15 million worth of coke, $4,500 in cash, gold Krugerrands, knives, and two pistols.<\/p>\n The body of the bear was discovered three months later, among 40 open plastic containers and some cocaine residue.<\/p>\n Don’t believe us?
