For The Love Of Goderich &#8211;  Trevor Bazinet &amp; Ally Anderson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When we set out on this journey, we thought we would be focusing on a lot of places and things that we find amazing about Midwestern Ontario &#8230; and I hope we&#8217;re still doing that to some extent. What it seems to have evolved into though is a podcast that&#8217;s more about people.<\/p>\n<p>We say often that everybody has a story, but we&#8217;ve discovered that many of those stories are amazing, funny, sad, often so genuine, passionate, transparent &#8230; I<br \/>\ncould go on. We&#8217;ve come to love the stories.<\/p>\n<p>In this episode, we going to chat with a guy who stepped into a very difficult role last year after the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goderich.ca\/en\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Town of Goderich<\/a><\/strong> lost it&#8217;s second mayor in as many years.<br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/trevor.bazinet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trevor Bazinet<\/a><\/strong> stepped into the role of mayor after the tragic loss of mayor Myles Murdock who&#8217;d been elected just the year before after the tragic passing of Mayor<br \/>\nJohn Grace following a boating accident in August of 2022. The community was shocked then again when Myles passed in August of 2023 after having been<br \/>\ndiagnosed with cancer earlier in the year.<\/p>\n<p>Enter deputy mayor <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/trevor.bazinet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trevor<\/a><\/strong>, unanimously chosen by Goderich Council to succeed Mayor Murdock and now filling the very big shoes of his predecessors.<br \/>\nAlso back today, our friend Ally Anderson who goes back a ways with Trevor and who always has her unique spin on all things Goderich and Huron County.
