{"id":10778,"date":"2020-10-15T12:00:11","date_gmt":"2020-10-15T16:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/?p=10778"},"modified":"2020-10-15T07:26:55","modified_gmt":"2020-10-15T11:26:55","slug":"reba-heading-to-the-small-screen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2020\/10\/reba-heading-to-the-small-screen\/","title":{"rendered":"Reba Heading To The Small Screen"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/h1GAXucR9Tc\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Reba McEntire is headed back to the small screen in a series based on the book and movie Fried Green Tomatoes, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2020\/tv\/news\/fried-green-tomatoes-series-reba-mcentire-norman-lear-nbc-1234803671\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to Variety<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Reba is set to star in the NBC show, which will be executive produced by her and Norman Lear (The Jeffersons, Good Times, One Day at a Time, All in the Family, Sanford and Son).<\/p>\n<p>The one-hour drama project features Reba as the present-day Idgie Threadgoode who returns to Whistle Stop after a decade away and struggles with &#8220;a changed town, estranged daughter, faltering cafe and life-changing secret.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Reba said she actually has her eye on a few movie scripts that, due to the pandemic, she&#8217;s hoping she&#8217;ll have time to do next year in between rescheduled concert dates and other events already on the books.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been reading scripts and everybody&#8217;s like, &#8216;If we ever get back to doing reading and things like that we&#8217;re ready for ya,&#8217; but, man, I don&#8217;t know when that&#8217;s gonna happen.
