He performed a song called &#8220;Here&#8217;s To The Farmer,&#8221; the title track of Luke&#8217;s 2016 Farm Tour EP, during which the governor and First Lady Maria Lee shared their first dance together as public officials.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/giPweohvlrs\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Luke told the crowd,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI\u2019m very honored to have the opportunity to do this next song for Governor Lee and Ms. Maria. Never thought I would have the opportunity to be playing a song for you guys. And Maria don\u2019t worry, I\u2019m not going to do Country Girl Shake it for Me,\u201d which was met with laughter from the attendees.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He explained that his song choice was something close to his own heart saying,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis is a song that\u2019s dear to me. When I heard of Governor Lee\u2019s background in agriculture, farming and cattle, we sent some songs for them to listen to, and I was so happy they chose this one. This was a song that means a lot to me and my family because we grew up in an agricultural background, so I\u2019m honored to this one.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Luke Bryan made a surprise appearance at Tennessee Governor Bill Lee\u2019s Inaugural Ball in Nashville.
