The “ACM Honors” will air Tuesday, September 13th on FOX at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n
Some highlights include Eric Church surprising Morgan Wallen with the ACM Milestone Award, while Shania Twain will be given the ACM Poet’s Award.<\/p>\n
Chris Stapleton receives the ACM Spirit Award, and Miranda Lambert gets her Triple Crown Award for winning ACM Entertainer of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, and New Artist of the Year.<\/p>\n
The ACM Honors, which took place on Aug. 24 at Nashville\u2019s Ryman Auditorium, is an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera winners from the 2022 ACM Awards.<\/p>\n
The show is returning to television for the first time in five years and coming to Fox for the first time as a two-hour prime-time special.<\/p>\n
Carly Pearce is hosting the ACM Honors this year for a second time.<\/p>\n
Even though she makes her living on a stage in front of people, Carly said hosting is definitely a different kind of challenge, but one she\u2019s excited to take on.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always wanted to get into hosting. That\u2019s been something that\u2019s been so important to me, so to get to start to have these opportunities over the last couple years have been really exciting for me. I think being able to host two years in a row gave me a bit more confidence. But I do think it\u2019s kind of exercising a different muscle, as far as, you\u2019re in charge of keeping everything kind of moving cohesively through a show, in front of people that have influenced you your whole life. Especially this year looking out and seeing Shania Twain and kind of having a banter with her from the stage was really fun. It\u2019s definitely a huge honor that I think if I wasn\u2019t nervous would be a problem.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Although Carly was pretty busy with her hosting duties, she was able to catch a few favourite moments during the show.<\/p>\n
\u201cI loved Vince. He honored Stapleton, which just, anytime Vince Gill sings I die for. Shania just in general, getting to see everybody and their performances. Kelsea doing the whole theatrical \u201cMan I Feel Like A Woman\u201d and Tiera getting to sing, and Avril Lavigne coming out and honoring her with \u2018No One Needs to Know.\u2019 I think just all of that, and then hearing Shania\u2018s take on that honor and on songwriting and that kind of stuff was really powerful just being another female. But I think that my favorite performance of the night was Brooks & Dunn honoring Miranda Lambert, singing \u2018Kerosene.\u2019\u201c<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
