Although Toby Keith wasn’t in attendance at the SabesWings Second Annual Strike Out Fundraiser in Paso Robles, California last week, he accepted the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award via video.<\/p>\n
Toby had to bow out due to a “tough week” of treatments following last fall’s stomach cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n
Toby received the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his cancer-related patient support programs via the Toby Keith Foundation.<\/p>\n
The Foundation built the OK Kids Korral to be a cost-free home for families of children being treated at The Children\u2019s Hospital at OU Medical Center.<\/p>\n
The SabesWings Second Annual Strike Out Fundraiser was hosted by former all-star MLB baseball player Bret Saberhagen and his wife, Kandace.<\/p>\n
The event raised $1,046,000 for the SabesWings charity which helps cancer patients in medical financial need.<\/p>\n
