Brett Young and his wife Taylor have been married for four and a half years, and in honour of Valentine\u2019s Day, Brett shares one of the best pieces of advice he was given about how to maintain a healthy, happy marriage.<\/p>\n
He also shares his Valentine\u2019s Day plans, which a lot of parents will probably relate to.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe one that I was given, that really, really worked for us when we first got married, was just because you\u2019re married doesn\u2019t mean you can stop dating. You gotta keep dating, and you have to make time, you have to be intentional about setting dates. That worked for us, now we have two young girls, and we like, for a second we forgot to do that. We thought, okay, everything is given to the kids now, and that\u2019s acceptable. That\u2019s what you should do. You love your children, you give them everything. You can\u2019t stop making time, you know. I\u2019m getting my wife a babysitter for Valentine\u2019s Day. That\u2019s the gift, and we\u2019re going to dinner, and that\u2019s probably a lie. We\u2019ll probably sleep in the car somewhere in the neighborhood because we\u2019re exhausted.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
