They last performed during the live broadcast at the 50th annual celebration, which hailed from Dallas, TX for the first and only time. This weekend, however, they&#8217;ll be in Las Vegas and teaming up with Luke Combs to perform one of their mega-hits, &#8220;Brand New Man.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Kix Brooks said the ACM Awards have been integral to Brooks &amp; Dunn&#8217;s success over the years.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;That was our first awards ever. Our first awards were two awards at the ACMs maybe in &#8217;91, and it was a huge boost to our career. I think &#8216;Neon Moon&#8217; went Number One the same week so that would&#8217;ve been our third single, and our sales doubled that week and things just really took off so we got a real sweet spot in our heart for the ACMs. It&#8217;ll be fun to get back on there.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Until last year, the duo was the most-awarded act in ACM history with 29 until Miranda Lambert took home her 30th trophy in 2018. Kix said that their good friend and the show&#8217;s host, Reba McEntire, took pleasure in rubbing that in.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Reba just had such a big time telling the world that Miranda last year had surpassed us in awards at the ACMs. She was so giddy about that. What is wrong with her? &#8216;Oh, and I got some news, yeah. Miranda just passed Brooks &amp; Dunn. I bet they hate that ha ha ha ha.&#8217; It&#8217;s not funny.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This year&#8217;s ACM Awards airs on Sunday, April 7th on CBS beginning at 8 pm.<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"insta-iframe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BvfMCROBhtx\/embed\/captioned\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display:inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height:0;\"  class=\"mce_SELRES_start\"><\/span><\/iframe>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Brooks &amp; Dunn will return to the stage of the ACM Awards for the first time in a few years.
