Former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer, Artimus Pyle is releasing a new album of the band\u2019s classic songs.<\/p>\n
It will feature 12 different artists joining him, such as Sammy Hagar on \u201cSimple Man,\u201d and Dolly Parton on \u201cFreebird\u201d.<\/p>\n
Billy Ray Cyrus, Ronnie Dunn of Brooks & Dunn and several other country artists also contribute.<\/p>\n
He plans to release one of the songs on October 20th, the 46th anniversary of the tragic plane crash that killed 3 members of the band, their road manager, and 2 pilots.<\/p>\n
3 members of the band. A full version of all 13 tracks will be out on February 2.<\/p>\n
Artimus Pyle\u2019s live debut with Skynyrd was at Jacksonville\u2019s Sgt Pepper\u2019s Club in 1974.<\/p>\n
He recorded on four albums, Nuthin\u2019 Fancy, Gimme Back My Bullets, Street Survivors, and their live album, One More for the Road.<\/p>\n
