{"id":27450,"date":"2023-11-29T05:55:37","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T10:55:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/?p=27450"},"modified":"2023-11-29T04:28:47","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T09:28:47","slug":"chris-stapletons-daughter-has-changed-his-songwriting-habits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2023\/11\/chris-stapletons-daughter-has-changed-his-songwriting-habits\/","title":{"rendered":"Chris Stapleton&#8217;s Daughter Has Changed His Songwriting Habits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chris Stapleton put out his fifth studio album &#8220;Higher&#8221; last week, but it sounds like he could have had more than five albums by now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmt.com\/news\/j7r0ad\/chris-stapleton-talks-higher-working-with-his-wife-the-songwriting-advice-he-got-from-his-daughter-and-what-he-tells-people-who-want-to-be-successful\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He talked about his songwriting process in a new interview<\/a>, and how his daughter Ava recently SCOLDED him for a bad habit.<\/p>\n<p>She just turned 13 this month, and she&#8217;s gotten into songwriting a little bit.<\/p>\n<p>Chris said he&#8217;s lost a lot of half-written songs because he&#8217;d come up with something, not record it, and forget it the next day.<\/p>\n<p>His philosophy was if he couldn&#8217;t remember then it wasn&#8217;t that good, but Ava thought that was dumb.<\/p>\n<p>She told him to ALWAYS record on his phone, because he might come back to it one day and think, &#8220;Oh, that was cool.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So he took her advice and doesn&#8217;t let himself lose songs anymore.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hA51HFVgGho\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>It came up because of the song &#8220;What Am I Gonna Do&#8221; off his new album.<\/p>\n<p>He wrote it with Miranda Lambert years ago but didn&#8217;t have a copy and could only remember half.
