{"id":27517,"date":"2023-12-07T05:55:43","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T10:55:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/?p=27517"},"modified":"2023-12-07T08:18:19","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T13:18:19","slug":"a-very-cool-taylor-swift-kenny-chesney-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2023\/12\/a-very-cool-taylor-swift-kenny-chesney-story\/","title":{"rendered":"Taylor Swift Shares A Cool Story About Kenny Chesney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/6342806\/person-of-the-year-2023-taylor-swift\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Taylor Swift was named &#8220;Time&#8221; magazine&#8217;s Person of the Year for 2023.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the cover story, Taylor shared a pretty cool story about Kenny Chesney.<\/p>\n<p>It happened when she was 17 and booked as an opener on Kenny&#8217;s tour.<\/p>\n<p>Taylor was beyond excited because it was, in her words, &#8220;going to change my career,&#8221; but there was a complication.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of weeks later she learned that the tour was being sponsored by a beer company, and since she was not legal drinking age at the time, she was too young to join and was devastated.<\/p>\n<p>A few months after that, at her 18th birthday party, Kenny&#8217;s rep gave her a card, and inside it read, &#8220;I&#8217;m sorry that you couldn&#8217;t come on the tour, so I wanted to make it up to you.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Taylor said there was a cheque with the note.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;It was for more money than I&#8217;d ever seen in my life. I was able to pay my band bonuses. I was able to pay for my tour buses.
