{"id":27827,"date":"2024-02-01T08:45:48","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T13:45:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/?p=27827"},"modified":"2024-02-01T08:55:24","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T13:55:24","slug":"meet-the-blind-fiddler-up-for-a-grammy-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2024\/02\/meet-the-blind-fiddler-up-for-a-grammy-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet The Blind Fiddler Up For A Grammy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Cleveland is the most awarded fiddler of all time and he was born blind and mostly deaf.<\/p>\n<p>At age four he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life&#8230; play bluegrass.<\/p>\n<p>He got his start at the Kentucky School for the Blind classical program that wanted to teach him how to play the violin.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I didn&#8217;t know much about the violin, but I knew a LOT about the fiddle.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And that training has gotten him very far in life.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/grammys-2024-michael-cleveland-is-blind-mostly-deaf-up-against-willie-nelson-8553487\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">His album, &#8220;Lovin&#8217; of the Game&#8221; is nominated for a Grammy THIS SUNDAY in the Best Bluegrass Album category.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He is up against the legend himself Willie Nelson, as well as Sam Bush . . . Mighty Poplars . . . Billy Strings . . . and Molly Tuttle &amp; Golden Highway.<\/p>\n<p>Michael shared some really interesting thoughts on being a musician.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;When I play music, things get better . . . You must feel it.
