Luke Combs is one of the hottest stars in country music these days, so it’s crazy to envision a time when music executives thought he’d have a better chance as a songwriter than a singer.<\/p>\n
In an interview awhile back, Luke said,<\/p>\n
“When I moved to town there was a lot of people that were like . . . you’re destined to just be a songwriter for these bigger artists, because you don’t look the part.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
But Luke’s response to these executives shows exactly why he was destined to be a superstar in country music.<\/p>\n
“We’re talking about COUNTRY music here. If anybody looks the part, it’s me. The other guys don’t look the part, that’s the problem. You throw these other guys at the Jiffy Lube, they\u2019re gonna look outta place. You put me in the Jiffy Lube, you\u2019re gonna think I\u2019m managing the [S.O.B.]”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
