Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter album has already broken a Spotify record for the most-streamed album in a single day in 2024.<\/p>\n
Spotify announced the news on Friday, March 29th, the day the album was released.<\/p>\n

According to Billboard, this is also the first country album to accomplish this feat this year.<\/p>\n
Before the album arrived, “Texas Hold \u2019Em” had been streamed 200 million times.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, a woman named Linda Martell appears on two songs on Beyonc\u00e9’s new album.<\/p>\n
One is called “Spaghetti”, and the other is actually named after her: “The Linda Martell Show”. So, who is she?<\/p>\n
She’s a groundbreaking black female country artist who saw her biggest success in the late ’60s and early ’70s, including a dozen appearances at the Grand Old Opry.<\/p>\n
Because of problems caused by racism in the genre and a shady producer, she’s mostly been forgotten.<\/p>\n
She’s 82 now, and thanks to Beyonc\u00e9, maybe she’ll finally get the recognition she deserves.<\/p>\n
