Words can&#8217;t do justice to the love we shared for over 60 years. Thank you for your prayers and sympathy.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/music\/dolly-parton-carl-thomas-dean-relationship-timeline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dolly met Carl outside the Wishy Washy Laundromat<\/a> the day she moved to Nashville in 1964, when she was 18 years old. They got married two years later, and have been together ever since.<\/p>\n<p>Carl preferred to keep out of the limelight, but it worked well for the couple over the years.
