{"id":31433,"date":"2025-03-17T05:45:56","date_gmt":"2025-03-17T09:45:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/?p=31433"},"modified":"2025-03-17T05:47:42","modified_gmt":"2025-03-17T09:47:42","slug":"clay-walker-will-play-randy-travis-in-biopic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cjwffm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2025\/03\/clay-walker-will-play-randy-travis-in-biopic\/","title":{"rendered":"Clay Walker Will Play Randy Travis In Biopic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Randy Travis is getting his own movie, and another big country star is playing him&#8230; Clay Walker.<\/p>\n<p>They announced it at the Grand Ole Opry.<\/p>\n<p>The title is &#8220;Forever and Ever, Amen&#8221; after his 1987 hit and 2019 memoir.<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"insta-iframe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DHJ1MLXpB2L\/embed\/captioned\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display:inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height:0;\"  class=\"mce_SELRES_start\"><\/span><\/iframe>\n<p>Clay is 55, so he&#8217;ll play him in his older years, with younger actors also stepping in.<\/p>\n<p>Randy was 54 when a stroke robbed him of his voice in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>They plan to start filming this summer in Nashville and North Carolina and say it&#8217;ll hit theatres sometime next spring.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Randy just added 30 more dates to his More Life Tour.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;ll wrap up the initial run in May and head back out on the road in August.
