There\u2019s nothing than that, especially when somebody would think that you\u2019re waiting for the next sod patch to be thrown to you and you got your back turned, and all of a sudden, that big ole piece of sod hits you right on the back. You got nowhere to clean up, and you\u2019re just stuck with dirt on your back for the rest of the day. It doesn\u2019t get any worse than that.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, Brett Young says life is very different now, compared to just a few years ago.<\/p>\n<p>He talked about some of his early jobs that weren\u2019t in the music business:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI worked in a lot of restaurants, anything from waiting tables, to bussing tables, to bartending, to cruise ship bartending, to nightclub bartending. But also, the summers after my junior and senior year in high school, I worked construction with a general contractor that did everything from the ground up. Anything from framing a back deck to building a house and laying foundation and doing the whole thing. I worked in mortgages the year leading up to that whole big kaboom. And so, anything that seemed like it was interesting to me and if I worked hard, I could be successful, I\u2019ve kind of been all over the place.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Country singers Kip Moore and Brett Young talk about some of the jobs they did before they hit it big in the music business.
