Learning the truth is an important step \u2014 but reconciliation also asks us to turn that understanding into meaningful action.<\/p>\n<p>This year also marks the 10th anniversary of <em>Secret Path<\/em>. Reflecting on how Gord Downie honoured the story and truth of Chanie Wenjack and helped turn it into action by creating opportunities for learning, dialogue, and change.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout A DAY TO LISTEN, we\u2019ll hear conversations about how each of us can help move reconciliation forward in our communities and across Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Listen September 30th from 6am &#8211; 6pm and <a href=\"https:\/\/downiewenjack.ca\/a-day-to-listen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CLICK HERE<\/a> to find out more.<\/p>\n<div class=\"toggle\"><button class=\"toggle-button\">About the Gord Downie &amp; Chanie Wenjack Fund<\/button><div class=\"toggle-content hide\"><\/p>\n<p>The Gord Downie &amp; Chanie Wenjack Fund aims to build cultural understanding and create a path toward reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n<p>Through the Legacy Schools program, they provide tools and resources to over 10,000 educators in Canada so they can confidently teach students about not only the true history of this country, but also the richness, strength, and diversity of Indigenous cultures.<\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"toggle\"><button class=\"toggle-button\">About A DAY TO LISTEN<\/button><div class=\"toggle-content hide\"><\/p>\n<p>The first A DAY TO LISTEN took place on June 30, 2021, following the announcement of 215 potential unmarked graves at the site of the former Kamloops Indian Residential School.
