Here is the press release on it:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Saskadelphia\u00a0(Universal Music Canada\/UMe) is made up of six previously unreleased tracks written in 1990. \u00a0Five recorded in that same year during the\u00a0Road Apples\u00a0sessions in New Orleans, and one live track, \u201cMontreal (Live from The Molson Centre, Montreal, Dec 7th, 2000),\u201d written at the same time, but for which the original recording is yet to be found.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>With no shortage of material and higher ups at the American record label resisting the band\u2019s call to release a double album, countless tracks were left behind on the studio floor. And so one album,\u00a0Road Apples, heads out into the world, a rung on The Tragically Hip\u2019s climb to legend status, while the rest of the tracks are tucked into boxes and moved out of sight.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Until now.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Welcome to\u00a0Saskadelphia: the record that stayed in the wings as\u00a0Road Apples\u00a0hit the stage. The title, a term coined by the band in a nod to the extensive touring they were doing in the early 1990s, was the original working title for\u00a0Road Apples\u00a0before it was rejected by those same label execs as being \u201ctoo Canadian.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>From lead single \u201cOuch,\u201d which greets listeners with the familiar roaring vocals of late singer and lyricist Gord Downie, to \u201cNot Necessary\u201d a song whose fiery sound is layered with gentle and emotional lyrics &#8211; are pure, undistilled The Tragically Hip, as Rob Baker (guitar), Gord Downie (vocals, guitar), Johnny Fay (drums), Paul Langlois (guitar) and Gord Sinclair (bass) lay<\/em><\/strong> the groundwork for their unmistakable sound.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cI went \u2018Wow\u2019 when I heard \u2018Ouch\u2019 after all this time,\u201d says Rob Baker. \u201cWe were a pretty good little band.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>After rediscovering the tracks they wrote more than three decades ago, The Tragically Hip knew they had to share the music with fans. Of these abandoned souvenirs from the past, Johnny Fay said, \u201cWe didn&#8217;t know what was there, so this meant baking them and listening to them as they were being transferred.
