The ban was put in place to stop celebrities who \u201cwould likely appeal to minors\u201d from underage gambling. The AGCO said in a <\/span><a style=\"font-weight: bold\" href=\"https:\/\/www.agco.ca\/blog\/lottery-and-gaming\/aug-2023\/agco-ban-athletes-ontarios-igaming-advertising-protect-minors\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">press release<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We\u2019re therefore increasing measures to protect Ontario\u2019s youth by disallowing the use of these influential figures to promote online betting in Ontario.\u201d<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The ban will come to effect February, 28th 2024.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/news.thepwhl.com\/professional-womens-hockey-league-sets-foundation-for-inaugural-season\/\">PWHL:<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa will be the new home for professional women&#8217;s hockey. The PWHL will consist of six teams in Canada and the United States. Supported by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/team\/_\/name\/lad\/los-angeles-dodgers\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Los Angeles Dodgers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> President <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stan_Kasten\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Stan Kasten<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the league will have its first draft September, 18th 2023. There will be 24 regular season games with a full schedule to be released soon.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/londonnewstoday.ca\/london\/news\/2023\/08\/29\/london-transit-to-consider-fare-hike\">LTC Fare Increase:<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> In a recent <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londontransit.ca\/staff-report-2-2024-2027-multi-year-budget\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londontransit.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">London Transit Commission<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> announced that there will be an 18% to 20% increase in fare pricing. The LTC stated the rising price of diesel and maintenance services are the reason. The 2024-2027 multi year budget proposal is set to get underway later this year.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b><a href=\"https:\/\/londonnewstoday.ca\/london\/news\/2023\/08\/29\/etfo-files-for-conciliation-during-contract-negotiations\">Ontario Teachers Reject Lecce\u2019s Offer:<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.etfo.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> filed on conciliation Tuesday after rejecting education minister <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ola.org\/en\/members\/all\/stephen-lecce\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Stephen Lecce<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u2019s contract offer.
