As of fall 2024, the new location for the museum will be at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/100kellogglane.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">100 Kellogg\u2019s Lane<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Here, they will have just over 30,000 square feet of space which is a massive jump from its previous 10,000 square foot location. 100 Kellogg\u2019s Lane is also home to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/thefactorylondon.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Factory<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, as well as a number of bars, and a hotel which is currently being constructed. Once completed in 2024, there will be eight different themed exhibits for children to enjoy. The museum is in its final stage of fundraising and is asking for donations. According to officials, the museum will generate $6 million in yearly revenue for the London economy. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.londonchildrensmuseum.ca\/donate\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Click here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> if you would like to help the museum with the move.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/londonnewstoday.ca\/london\/news\/2023\/09\/27\/londoners-reminded-to-test-their-smoke-alarms-thursday\">Time to test your smoke alarm:<\/a><\/strong><b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Today is Ontario\u2019s first ever Test Your Smoke Alarm Day. The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/london.ca\/living-london\/community-services\/fire-emergency-services\/london-fire-department\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">London Fire Department<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is reminding residents to remember to check their smoke detectors at least once a month. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt\u2019s a small but life-saving action. I hope you will join me in participating in Test Your Smoke Alarm Day on September 28th. Taking a minute from your day can make a big difference for the safety of your home and your loved ones,\u201d Mayor <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/london.ca\/mayor\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Josh Morgan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> said in a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/london.ca\/newsroom\/london-fire-department-challenges-londoners-be-saved-beep\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">statement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/savedbythebeep.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Saved by The Beep<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> campaign was started after 133 people have died in deadly house fires in Ontario this past year, This is the highest number in over 20 years. Homeowners have been required to install smoke detectors on every floor of the home since 2006.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvdsb.ca\/Modules\/News\/index.aspx?newsId=29405b9a-5b23-4c1e-b7d7-a6822181d01e\">TVDSB capping enrolment again:<\/a><\/strong><b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> During Tuesday\u2019s board meeting,Trustees from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvdsb.ca\/en\/index.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thames Valley District School Board<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> received a report from the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/calendar.tvdsb.ca\/board\/Detail\/2023-01-10-1800-Planning-and-Priorities-Advisory-Committee-Meeting\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Planning and Priorities Advisory Committee<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> in regards to the influx of families moving to London. They pushed a motion to temporarily put a cap on enrollment to select schools in the district. Starting January 1, 2024, TVDSB will be implementing a cap at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/delawarecentral.tvdsb.ca\/en\/index.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Delaware Central Public School<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lambeth.tvdsb.ca\/en\/index.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lambeth Public School<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. Caps for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/masonville.tvdsb.ca\/en\/index.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Masonville Public School<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and W<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/wilberforce.tvdsb.ca\/en\/index.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ilberforce Public School<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> will be put into place as soon as they reach their prospective limits. Although, they are not expected to reach their portable limits until 2026. These changes will only apply to new families, and existing students and their siblings will not be affected. For new families in capped areas, Thames Valley will be accommodating them with an interim school for the children.
