{"id":26436,"date":"2024-04-12T09:46:01","date_gmt":"2024-04-12T13:46:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cklofm\/?p=26436"},"modified":"2024-04-12T09:48:39","modified_gmt":"2024-04-12T13:48:39","slug":"everyone-came-out-to-the-jimmy-buffett-tribute-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cklofm\/blogs\/middays\/2024\/04\/everyone-came-out-to-the-jimmy-buffett-tribute-show\/","title":{"rendered":"Everyone Came Out To The Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What a beautiful way to pay tribute to the lengendary Jimmy Buffett!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Everyone from Paul McCartney(who couldn&#8217;t put down his margarita) to Jon Bon Jovi, Dave Grohl, The Eagles, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow and more came out yesterday to the Hollywood Bowl.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CeeJWGpeRC4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen title=\"Paul McCartney &amp; Guests Sing the Finale \u201cMargaritaville\u201d at Jimmy Buffet Tribute on 4\/11\/24\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Others included, Woody Harrelson-telling the tale about the time he and Buffett smoked a joint on the roof of<\/p>\n<p>the Vatican. \u201cThat\u2019s not true of course,\u201d he adds,\u201cbut wouldn\u2019t that be a great story?\u201d Jane Fonda corrected Woody later in the<\/p>\n<p>show, she said: \u201cI was actually the one that smoked a bowl with Jimmy on the roof of the Vatican.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a video tribute, Dolly Parton praised Buffett\u2019s multi-hyphenate brilliance \u2014 songwriter, author, mogul \u2014 and that he was<\/p>\n<p>more than\u00a0just a dude in flip flops.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jon Bon Jovi went up there and said &#8220;We all think we\u2019re rock stars, but he flew his own plane to his own show. That\u2019s a rock star,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>before admitting his backstage edible was kicking in, apparently this was a common theme of the night.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then Paul McCartney, told a story about being invited to one of Buffett\u2019s places during \u201cthe last week of his life\u201d to \u201csing a couple<\/p>\n<p>songs for Jimmy.\u201d Buffett \u201cwas in a pretty bad way, but he still had that twinkle in his eye,\u201d McCartney says. \u201cTonight I thought I\u2019d sing<\/p>\n<p>one of those songs.\u201d He launched into \u201cLet It Be,\u201d and invited the Eagles to join him!\u00a0He then called everyone back up for the big finale!<\/p>\n<p>Watch until the end to see Paul raise his glass to Jimmy.
