{"id":27804,"date":"2024-08-29T08:50:25","date_gmt":"2024-08-29T12:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cklofm\/?p=27804"},"modified":"2024-08-29T09:20:46","modified_gmt":"2024-08-29T13:20:46","slug":"concert-review-6-bush-and-jerry-cantrell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cklofm\/blogs\/2024\/08\/concert-review-6-bush-and-jerry-cantrell\/","title":{"rendered":"Concert Review #6: Bush And Jerry Cantrell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hey, folks it\u2019s Steve, the Classic Rock 98.1 Intern!<\/strong> The 6th show of my internship was a blast of 90\u2019s nostalgia at Toronto\u2019s Budweiser Stage with Jerry Cantrell and Bush.<\/p>\n<p>Jerry Cantrell kicked off his set with a blistering &#8220;Psychotic Break,&#8221; and quickly followed with Alice in Chains classics like &#8220;Them Bones&#8221; and &#8220;Man in the Box.&#8221; It\u2019s been more than 30 years since I last saw Alice in Chains and I was reminded of how powerful these songs are in a live setting. Just before closing out his set, Jerry invited a friend of his, Dallas Frickin Green, on stage for a sublime rendition of Rooster which brought the house down!<\/p>\n<p>Bush hit the stage with Gavin Rossdale leading the charge. They powered through a mix of new tracks and fan favorites, including &#8220;Machinehead,&#8221; &#8220;Glycerine,&#8221; and &#8220;Comedown,&#8221; which had the entire audience singing along. They even threw in a Beatles cover. The energy was fierce and the band didn&#8217;t hold back, delivering a strong performance.
