November 11th, the London Remembrance Day Ceremony will be in the London Cenotaph in Victoria Park 10:45 to 11:20 a.m. Londoners are welcome and encouraged to attend the ceremony which will take place after the parade.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The parade will happen on 325 Dundas St, from 10:30am &#8211; 10:45am. After the ceremony, the parade will continue, around 11:20am.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">There will be a road closure from 7:30am &#8211; 12:30pm on Wellington St and Dufferin Ave.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Annual Wear Purple Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This Friday. November 15th, the LAWC (London Abused Women\u2019s Centre) encourages everyone to wear purple to show their support for the women who are\/were victims of male violence.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The LAWC would like people to show their support online, by posting a short video\/photo of them in a purple shirt, with the hashtag: #ShinetheLight2024, and tagging them @endwomanabuse.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In November, buildings and landmarks are turned purple as part of the Shine the Light on Woman Abuse campaign, which promotes awareness of male violence against women and fosters solidarity with survivors.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">By Danika Watson<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"London Remembrance Day Ceremony On Monday.
