With a goal of raising $650,000, the campaign has so far raised less than half of that amount. Worse, 44% of kettle shifts remain unfilled.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The ongoing Canada Post strike has only added to the challenge, delaying 2.5 million direct mail appeals and causing a nationwide 50% drop in donations during the critical holiday season.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Without more volunteers and donations, vital local programs\u2014such as community meals, homelessness prevention, and Christmas assistance for families\u2014are at risk.
