Duo Favorites

Kix and Ronnie had been solo artists for years, each of them performing and writing songs.  As separate acts, they achieved moderate success.

Then, in 1990, a well known Nashville record producer, Tim DuBois, suggested they pair up and try their luck.  The chemistry worked, and in 1991 they formed a group and signed with Arista Nashville.

They have since gone on to release more than 50 singles, with 20 reaching the top spot.  They own the top Country songs of 1996 and 2001, they have won the CMA Vocal Duo of the Year a dozen times and earlier this year they were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Join me next Saturday, July 6 at 9:20, for more with Brooks and Dunn!
