A Voice For Country

Young Jason was playing guitar at 7, and wrote his first song at 12.  His family moved from Barrie to Camrose, Alberta, and the “cowboy culture” stuck with him.  Even though he liked Rock n Roll, he didn’t have the voice for it.  The Country sound was a much better fit.

He was the 2001 CCMA, “Male Vocalist of the Year”, and in 2006 he was awarded the “Global Artist Award” at the CMA Awards in Nashville.

From 2005 to 2010, he was a member of, “The Roadhammers”.  That group charted singles in Canada and the U.S.

Join me next Saturday. August 31 at 9:20, for more with Jason McCoy!
