Living His Dream

Leroy grew up on a farm in Missouri and went to a one room school.   After high school, he graduated from the University of Missouri in Animal Husbandry and Journalism.  He also achieved a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.

He served in Korea as a special agent, U.S. Army Counter-Intelligence Corps.

Leroy says there are only four things he ever wanted to do; sing, sell, write and raise livestock.  He is living his dream.

He wrote, “Auctioneer”, and it became a smash number one hit.  He joined Ozark Jubilee, and the Grand Ole Opry.  He had another million seller with, “Walk on By”.  He is the only Country performer to open a show for Marilyn Monroe.  He has not missed a performance in over five decades.

He is an author, raises Arabian mules, and is a member of the Auctioneering Hall of Fame.

Join me next Saturday, February 1 at 9:20, for more with Leroy Van Dyke!
