Tracking The Money Raised By The Concert For Carolina
February 27, 2025 8:30 amLuke Combs and Eric Church’s Concert for Carolina raised $24.5 million for Hurricane Helene victims last fall.
Luke promised “every single dollar” would be used to help them, so, did they follow through?
It looks like the answer is a resounding YES.
“The Charlotte Observer” just did a big story on how every cent has been accounted for.
Half the money went to four nonprofits Luke picked: Samaritan’s Purse, Eblen Charities, and two different food banks.
The other half went to Eric’s nonprofit called Chief Cares to build new homes for people who lost theirs in the storm. The CEO says the charity received a payment of more than $12 million last month.
They used $850,000 of it earlier this month to buy land for 30 to 40 new houses. They’re expected to be finished sometime this summer.
