How Jackson Dean Learned To Play Guitar

Like a lot of young kids, Jackson Dean tried to learn to play the guitar by taking lessons, but they just weren’t for him.

Instead, it was a devastating family incident that happened when he was 13-years-old that led Jackson to really dive into learning how to play the guitar.

“When I was in sixth grade, I started learning how to play guitar. Took like a month of lessons, quit. I wasn’t doing anything with them. Seventh grade, our house burnt to the ground, and when we were rebuilding it I would sit up there at night and just kind of mess around and play guitars and watch people’s hands on YouTube, and try to figure out how to play songs that I really wanted to learn how to play.”
