Some of Texas’s biggest stars took the stage at the Moody Center in Austin on Sunday, August 17, to help those still affected by devastating floods that hit the state last month.

It was called “Band Together Texas” and featured headliners Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum, and it was kicked off by a moving introduction from Matthew McConaughey.

There were performances from Wade Bowen, Ryan Bingham, Pat Green, Randy Rogers Band, and many more.

But the star power wasn’t just musical.

A bunch of well-known Texans also showed up: Dennis Quaid, Roger Clemens, former UT coach Mack Brown, and former players Vince Young, Colt McCoy, and Emmanuel Acho all made appearances.

Even “The Bachelor’s” Chris Harrison joined in.

But perhaps the best part of the night was an emotional rendition of “How Great Thou Art” by Cody Johnson.

The event raised $8.5 million and counting.

Proceeds will support the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the Central Texas Community Foundation.
