Jackson Dean Hopes His Music Helps People

When Jackson Dean was making his latest album, On the Back of My Dreams, featuring his current hit single, “Heavens to Betsy,” he was very intentional about creating music that was deeply personal to him.

But also left plenty of space for the listener to make the songs their own.

“I think the purpose of all music is to know that we’re not alone in feeling what we feel. These are written in a way for the listener to put themselves into the song and see what they need to see and feel what they need to feel with it. And that to me is the best kind of music when everybody can see a little bit of their own self in it.”
