Macpherson, Bruce (Age 87)
April 3, 2019 9:40 amBorn July 31, 1931, Bruce passed away peacefully in his 88th year at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on March 28, 2019.
Bruce will be sadly missed by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Grace Hughena (nee Ferris) Macpherson and his children Neil (Glenda Webster), Jessie (Paul) Callaghan, Marnie (Allan) Beitz, and Christie (Dwayne) Patterson. Loving grandfather of eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by sister-in-laws Grace L. McPherson and Velma Hendry, and brother-in-laws Harry Ruetz, Norman Campbell, and Mervyn (Jeanette) Catto, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Alexander (Sandy) Ferris Macpherson, grandson Wesley Alexander Beitz, parents Alexander and Pearl (nee Vance) Macpherson, brothers Stuart, Eoin, Angus (Helen) and sisters Eva (Grant) Begg, Catherine (Kay) Currie-Ruetz (Elgin Currie), Jean Campbell, and Marguerite Catto, as well as Grace’s family Sherman Ferris, Marjorie (Burton) Shewfelt, and Kenneth Hendry.
Bruce, our much loved social butterfly, charmed everyone who knew him. He loved his family, his gardens, cooking, baking, carpentry, playing cards, and his many friends. ‘Til we meet again.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Tiverton at 11:00 a.m. Rev. David Chang officiating. A visitation and informal reception celebrating Bruce’s life will be held following the service at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre, Tiverton from 12 noon until 3:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton.
