Hazel Elizabeth Jane McGONIGLE of Seaforth unexpectedly, surrounded by loved ones, on Monday, July 29, 2019, at the age of 96. The legacy of memories she leaves behind will remind us of a loving, kind and caring woman. Hazel’s smile would light up a room. Her laugh was infectious.  Hazel loved to attend a family gathering and joining friends for a rousing game of cards or bingo was always a time of fun and laughter.
Hazel will be lovingly remembered by her sister Marian Andrews and her brother Stuart Wilson and his wife Joyce. Cherishing memories of a much-loved aunt are many nieces and nephews and their families.
In faith, we trust that Hazel’s spirit is reunited in eternal life with her husband Roy (2000), her parents Lorne and Jean (née McKay) Wilson, and siblings and siblings-in-law Dorothy and Ray Mason, Evelyn and Charles Merrill, Evelyn Merrill, W.D. and Doris Wilson, Scotty and Eva Wilson, Anna Wilson, Ethel and Jim Devereaux, Anne Devereaux, Madeline and Walter  Bain, Doug Andrews, Gordon and Lola McGonigle and Ross and Margaret McGonigle.
Visitation will take place at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Thursday, August 1, 2019, from 2 until 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service to honour Hazel’s life will be held at Egmondville United Church, 26 Kippen Road, Egmondville on Friday, August 2, 2019, commencing at 11 AM. Interment will take place in Maitlandbank Cemetery and a reception will follow at Seaforth Legion, Branch 156, 123 Main Street South, Seaforth. Arrangements entrusted to McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation, Egmondville United Church or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made by visiting Hazel’s memorial at www.mcglynnfamilyfuneralhome.com
