Loving Dad to son James and Susan Moore, daughters Debbie and Eric Ross and Lori and Scott Wheeler. Proud Grandpa to Matthew and Shuyi Moore, Judson Moore, Melissa and Dan Martin, Jonathan and Amanda Trollope, Amy Ross and Candice and Chris Riley, Chris Ross and Jeremy and Ali Ross, Nicholas and Vicki Wheeler, Benjamin and Danica Wheeler, Mckenzie and Flora Wheeler and Mitch Wheeler. Adoring Great-grandpa to Mya, Liya, Oscar, Clara, Dylan, Ashton, Kira, Hudson, Evelynn, Abigail, Jillian. Brother to Ethel Williams, Earl and Irene Moore. Brother-in-law to Murial Solosky, June and Fred DeLory and Ralph Gerrett. Predeceased by wife Iona (nee Gerrett), parents Lillian and Harley Moore, brother Reg and Ruth Moore, Dave and Daisy Moore, Don and Jean Moore, Bob and Helen Moore, sister Evelyn and Eddie Newman and brother-in-law Ted Williams. Missed by many nieces and nephews.
Cecil served in World War II in the navy, as a cook on the aircraft carrier HMS Puncher. He was an active life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 218 Brussels. Cecil loved to sit at the lake and watch the boats, but his main passion was for his family.
At Cecil’s request cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at Riverside Funeral Home, Brussels for visitation TODAY from 2 until 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Legion Service will take place at 6:45 PM at the funeral home. Interment in Brussels Cemetery at a later date.
