Keip, John “Jack” (Age 87, Formosa And Formerly Culross Township)

John “Jack” KEIP, peacefully at the age of 87, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. He was born and raised on the 12th Concession of Culross, where he farmed for 39 years. He enjoyed retirement in Formosa for 27 years and was a long-time member of St. Joseph’s Aid Society. Survived by his wife and soul mate of 67 years, Verna (nee Kupferschmidt); his son Wayne Keip and Audrey; daughters Carol Henhoeffer and Bruce, Jan Poechman and Wayne and Sharon Murdoch and Dave. He will be missed by his grandchildren Jason, Craig, Scott, Brent, Julie, Heather, Shawna and Megan; great-grandchildren Samantha and Jackson as well as step-great-grandchildren Gabriel, Saphryn and Atlas. Also survived by his sister Madeline Durrer and in-laws Jim Durrer and Marlene, Rita Keip, and Merv Kupferschmidt and Mary. Jack was predeceased by his daughter Karen in infancy, siblings Gertrude Heaney and Joe, Hilda Schumacher and Jim, Lorene Keip and Dorothy, Vera Reist and Lloyd, Joe Keip, Dorothy Durrer, Mary Keip; brother-in-law Harold Durrer, and his parents George and Ottila (nee Voisin) Keip.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial held on Friday, August 30, 2019, at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Formosa. Father Jason Kuntz officiating. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Formosa. Arrangements entrusted to Cameron Funeral Homes, Walkerton.
