Mel KNOX was a farmer all his life, born and raised in Hullett Township, the son of Ernest Knox and Elizabeth Shobbrook.  In 1970 he married the love of his life Barbara Irwin and together raised three children. He was a proud father to Theresa and Steve Reminisky, Melanie and Mike McCowan and Chris and Amy Knox. He was loving grandpa to Brianna, Aidan and James Knox. Brother to Cindy Knight. Since the age of 14, Mel managed the family dairy farm and acquired a wealth of knowledge and expertise in carpentry, welding, electricity, plumbing and machinery repair. After retirement for the last 10 years, he put much of his time and expertise into being volunteer property manager at Camp Menesetung.
A celebration of Mel’s life will be held at Londesboro United Church August 12, at 11 AM, luncheon to follow. Reverend Paul Ross and Susan McIlveen will be officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton.
Memorial donations would be gratefully accepted to Camp Menesetung or the charity of one’s choice. Messages of Condolence for the Knox Family may be placed at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com
