Anstett, Ray (Age 83, Seaforth)

Ray ANSTETT peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2019. Born in Walkerton, Raymond Alfred James Anstett of Seaforth was in his 84th year. Loving father of Kim and Gary Love of Hensall, Doug and Nancy Anstett of Egmondville, Joe Anstett of Seaforth, Cindy Visscher of Wyoming, Judy Brand of Clinton, and Raymond and Terri Anstett of Dublin. Cherished Popsi of twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Mary Reddon of Guelph, and Edward and Mary Anstett of Brantford.  Uncle Rayme will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved wife Leona (née Irving) Anstett, parents John and Rose (née Beingessner) Anstett, and also by two sisters and seven brothers.
Ray was a familiar face on the main street of Seaforth for 45 years at Anstett Jewellers and as the owner of Seaforth Jewellers. He was an avid hockey player, playing well into his 70’s, and he was a fixture on the blue line for the Seaforth Beavers.
Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, Today, from 2 until 4 and 7 to 9 PM, with Parish Prayers at 1:45 PM. Ray’s Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Tuesday, September 24th at 11 AM, with Father Philip Joseph officiating. Interment will take place in St. James Catholic Cemetery followed by a reception at the Seaforth Legion, Branch 156.  Arrangements entrusted to McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth.
