Marion BUCHNER (nee Niles), of Durham and formerly of London, on Tuesday, August 20th, 2019 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Ross Buchner. Loving mother of Louise Vasey of Sarnia, Andy Buchner and Cindi of Huntsville, Alan Buchner of Mississauga and Elaine and Francois Pharand of Mississauga. Cherished grandmother of Colleen, Mike, Becky, Steven, Mary Jane, Jennifer, Lizanne, Martin, Sophie and great-grandmother of Abigail, Allyson, Avery, Connor, Emeric, Severine, Lucas and Weston. Predeceased by brothers Don, Lorne and Ted Niles. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. 
Marion had a love for life and took every opportunity to have fun and enjoy her family and many friends. The Buchner’s arrived in Durham to become the new owners of the IGA in 1971. Marion was an active community member involved with the Kinettes, Durham International Banjo Competition, Old Home Week, Frontier Days, Red Hat Society and faithfully watched the IGA men’s team play baseball.  Friends and family admired Marion’s culinary skills from the greatest grilled cheese sandwich to amazing apple pie. Marion’s “Pepsodent” smile will be missed by all.
Friends may call at McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, 166 Bruce Street North, Durham on Friday, September 20th from 3 to 5 PM for the celebration of life.  A graveside service will be held at Kintore Presbyterian Cemetery, Kintore on Saturday, September 21st at 11 AM with a lunch to follow. All are welcome. Arrangements entrusted to McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
