Alan MAEDEL of Mitchell, formerly of Monkton, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at the age of 69. Alan’s greatest love was his family. While he enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing pool, it was the time he spent with the people around him that mattered most. He never missed an opportunity to support his family or friends in their endeavours. Alan was a devoted father to Chris and Liz, Jeff and Angela, and Lindsay and Andy Zaferis. He was a doting grandpa to Henry, Evelyn, Elena and Niko. He was a cherished son of Betty Maedel and Carl Maedel (predeceased) and dear brother of Paul and Fern Maedel, Liz and Tom Goodyer, and Colleen and Vince Priestap. He will be fondly missed by his dog Lacey, his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Alan’s love of travelling, commitment to his family and his love of life, will be forever remembered.
