Don EADIE of Wingham, surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020, at the age of 78. Loving husband of Marian (née Hoover) Eadie of Wingham. Cherished father of Kevin and Sarah Eadie of Waterloo, Steve Eadie of Mary Hill and Jennifer and Luke Roberts of the U.K. Devoted papa of McKenna, Keirnan, Aiden, and Louisa. Brother and brother-in-law of Neil and Margaret Eadie, Charles Eadie, Marjorie and Brian Deyell, Mary Eadie, Linda Hoover, Murray Hoover, and Sylvia and Ross Gibson. Don will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members. Predeceased by his parents David and Helen (née Mulvey) Eadie, brother John “Mac” Eadie, nephew John Deyell, sister-in-law Rhoda Eadie and brother-in-law John Hoover.
Don wore many hats. He was a farmer for the majority of his life, farming in Turnberry Township where both he and Marian raised three beautiful children. He was involved with the Turnberry Township council, serving as a Councillor and also Reeve. Don was a part of the Howick Insurance Board for 27 years and a dearly loved member of the Belmore Choir as well. In 1997, Don went back to school and started his health business. He helped many people in the area through reflexology, deep tissue massage and electronic homeopathy.
A memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will be held on Sunday, April 5th, 2020 at 2 PM at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Wingham with a reception to follow. Arrangements entrusted to McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham. 
The family gratefully declined flowers; however, if you wish to make a donation in memory of Don, donations to the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer’s Society of Huron County would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
