A private, family graveside service for Marjory and Bill Humphries will take place on Saturday, May 2nd at 12:15 PM. A Women’s Institute Service will take place at 1 PM at the BMG Community Centre Auditorium with a public celebration of both Marjory and Bill’s lives to follow from 2 until 4 PM.

After Marjory and Bill’s retirement they settled into the roles of grandparents and loving partners celebrating 58 years of marriage. So in lieu of flowers please enjoy some of their favourite things; have a large family dinner, share memories and laughs, go out for ice cream, take a walk or drive in the brilliant colours of the autumn trees; cheer on your family at their sporting events.

After attending normal school in Stratford, Marjory began her teaching career at Langside SS#8, a one room schoolhouse. She then moved to Walton to teach at the Walton School, SS#11. She met Bill while boarding at his parent’s house, and they were married in 1955. While raising her family she was ‘on call’ to help at the family general store, finishing her career as Postmaster in Walton.

One of Marjory’s passions was the Walton Women’s Institute where she was a lifetime member and held many offices. She was also on the Board of Directors for FWIO where she received a Special Recognition Award. Arrangements entrusted to Riverside Funeral Home, Brussels. Cards of sympathy may be sent to Box 340 Brussels N0G 1H0. Online condolences available.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic a private, family graveside service for Marjory & Bill Humphries will take place. The Women’s Institute Service and Celebration of Life Service scheduled for May 2nd, 2020 has been cancelled.
